Afrozoid was formed by the brothers Rafael Lopez (ex-Los brasileros) and Phabian Edward in 2013, rescuing old influences of House and Techno of the 90's. The main idea of the project is to bring all the knowledge that both of them had in the past as DJs, when they played at underground parties in the 90's. The essence of their productions brings influences from the past to the new era of House and Techno. Afrozoid comes with a combination of Groove, Dark and Detroit. Their productions are mirrored after such artists as; Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Dave Angel, The Advent, Joe Beltram, Green Velvet, Underworld, Secret Cinema, Mau Mau, Habitants, Carl Cox, Surgeon, Cassius, Prodigy, ALTERN8, 808 State, LFO, Dave Clarke, Thomas P. Heckmann, Sapiano, Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier among others.
After his recent releases on Get Physical and KMS, you would think that Chris Honorat is a newcomer, but not at all ... Pioneer of the French electronic music scene, Chris Honorat made his debut on Radio FG in late 1992 under the name of The Exorcist. He has run for more than two years the friday evening show on this station, and supports in their cars the first generation of Ravers ... Meanwhile he worked at USA Imports, the parisian record shop owned by Laurent Garnier, with whom he continues to collaborate by signing in 1995 on F Communications, and changing his name to Chaotik Ramses. He co-organizes Mentasm raves with Antoine «Electric Rescue», then the D-Mention festival with Fabrice Gadeau (current director of the Rex Club in Paris). This leads to the D-Club and Autom@tik parties, a reference in terms of techno clubbing. Thereafter Chris Honorat multiplies collaborations and released many EPs on the best French techno labels (Euterpe, Dancefloor Killer, Kobayashi, Calme, A-Traction ...), well as Techno compilations of major events in which he participates as a DJ. After seven years as resident DJ at the Rex Club and lots of parties in France and Europe, he moved to Tahiti, worked with local artists, played in New Zealand and New Caledonia. Back in France last year, Chris Honorat now performs under his real name, a symbol of musical maturity gained over years and travels. He just signed on the Berlin label Get Physical, and had released new tracks A-traction records and Prismat… Waiting to hear his next productions, you can meet him behind the decks!
Some DJ's should be given medals of honour for their impeccable services rendered on the decks and prolific careers. I am not talking your Pete Tongs or Tiesto's, I am talking real hard working, willing to play for the sake of a party and for the sake of giving the people a good time – GANEZ Aka THE TERRIBLE is definitely one of those DJs. His Career spans back to the early 90's where inspired by the likes of Mills, Vath, Cox and Garnier he started DJing in France. He played whenever he could and wherever he could be it bars, clubs or raves. After more than 20 years of sticking with it he has managed to add a few other countries to his list of places played; Uk, Scotland, Ireland, Netherland, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Slovakia, Greece, Morroco, Tunisia, Canada, Korea, Japan, Venezuela, Colombia ... A long list of countries with a plethora of gigs, from clubs to raves to free parties to teknivals to festivals and even radio and fashion shows. Yes he's has pretty much played it all. But not only is Ganez a renowned DJ who has played more gigs than you've had hot dinners, he's also a sublime producer. Electro, House, Break, Minimal, Acid, Techno and Hard Techno/Schranz he has released it all – with over 300 releases on vinyl and digital format his music is supported by an ever growing number of Dj's and artists. So medal or not it is clear to see this man is well worth listening to. .
Lost in the seas and in the uncertainty of days and hours that are never alike, Recouvrance is the place of salvation that was once the sailors were waiting. There they found peace and rest. Crossed by the energies of this space in which he was born, it is naturally that a young Brest from the right bank chooses this pseudonym which represents at the same time the security of a ground and the fear of a journey in the bowels oceans. He transcribes us in his music and his sets as much the journey as the recovery but prefers to extend on the chaos of the difficult days where the fear and the anxiety seize, only on the frozen moment where the dangers escape. His sonorities attack, strike, torture and change pace, as if a storm was raging. As time goes by, a storm can calm down to give way to another, and it is according to this image that the weak and strong times of Recouvrance take hold, some for the lulls and others for the days of thunderstorm. To put it more concretely, his music is anything but linear. It reverses the constancy of techno with breakbeat, acid and sometimes even electro phases to break the impression of comfort and continuous pattern while retaining a wisdom and a technique that allow him to generate a sense of coherence and of fatality: as the fate of these captains delivered to mortal contingencies, it is not a matter of chance, but of destiny. It must be so and not otherwise..

With this new project, Madben & Yann Lean get back to the essence of techno with a raw sound based on groove, textures and catchy hooks. Influenced by 90's rave sound et artists like Jeff Mills, Surgeon, DJ Pierre, Dave Clarke or DJ Funk the french producers like to write theit music "on- the-fly" and are adepts of a very spontaneous track conception. With "Trunkline" they bring back the unique texture of analogic techno. Trunkline's vinyl label will release the duos ep's. They plan to release one maxi per trimester. The project will also take to the stage as a four deck DJ set and then a "100% machine" live performance in the summer of 2016.
